QuotePaint quotes painting jobs, sends them to your client, chases what's owed and tells you whether each job made money. It runs in your browser and keeps everything on your device.

Quoting

1. Open Quote. Fill in the client and their WhatsApp number, and pick Interior or Exterior.
2. Add each room: wall length (all the walls added up), height, doors, windows and coats. QuotePaint takes the doors and windows off the wall area.
3. Add extras from your price book: filling, ceilings, furniture moving and so on.
4. The price bar shows the price at your target margin, your cost, your profit and how many days it takes two painters. Tap it for the breakdown. Use Round to to quote a round number.

The sample quote (Daniel Mwangi) shows how it fits together. Edit it, or tap + New for your own.

Sending

Tap Send quote. Choose WhatsApp or a text message; the message is written from your template, with a link to the quote. You can also save a PDF or copy the link.

Your client opens the link and sees the quote: rooms, extras, total, deposit and terms. Accept sends you a WhatsApp message saying they accept. The quote lives inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded and the link works on any phone.

Today

Each day, Today shows what to chase, in this order:

• invoices past their due date, oldest first;
• jobs that start today or tomorrow, so you can confirm the time;
• quotes with no reply after 3 days (change this in Settings).

Each card has the message ready. Tap WhatsApp or SMS to send it, then the tick to hide the card for 3 days. The three numbers at the top are what you're owed, how much is overdue and what you've collected this month.

Quotes and status

Quotes lists everything, newest first. Tap a status to change it (Draft, Sent, Won, Invoiced, Paid, Lost) and fill in the start date, invoice date, payment date, and the actual hours and materials once the job is done. Today and Jobs update straight away.

Jobs

Once a job has actual hours, Jobs shows its profit and margin. It compares your actual hours with the estimate for interior and exterior work and suggests a better rate when you're more than 10% out, and it flags small jobs that don't make your target. The Rates row in Settings shows "needs a look" when that happens.

Settings

Your business details, your rates (labour, overhead, target margin, how fast you paint, paint coverage and cost), the price book, the message templates, and units. Switch between metres and feet: every rate and measurement converts. When you're ready, Remove sample data clears the example quotes.

Backup and a new phone

Your quotes live on this device only. In Settings, Save backup file downloads one file with everything, including your licence key. Keep it in Google Drive, iCloud or your email. On a new phone, open QuotePaint, go to Settings and tap Restore from a backup file. Today reminds you when it's time for a new backup.

Clearing your browser's site data deletes your quotes. Make a backup first.

Free plan and licence

The free plan has 3 quotes of your own, the first card on Today, and PDFs marked "Made with QuotePaint · free". Buy QuotePaint once for $49 to unlock everything; there is no subscription.

14-day refund. Email us with your order number. A refunded key stops unlocking the app: QuotePaint checks the key with Gumroad about once a week when you're online.

Gumroad emails you a licence key. Open QuotePaint, go to Settings → Activate, paste the key and tap Activate. The app checks it with Gumroad, then works offline; it checks again about once a week when you're online. If it says it couldn't reach Gumroad, check your connection and try again.

Privacy

There's no account and nothing to sign up for. Your quotes, clients and settings stay on your device; they only go anywhere when you send a quote yourself. The only time QuotePaint itself talks to a server is to check a Gumroad licence key: when you activate it, then about once a week. Only the key is sent. Quote links carry the quote inside the link itself (after the #), which browsers don't send to any server.

Offline

After your first visit the app opens without a connection. You need a connection to send a quote by WhatsApp or text and to activate a licence.
